Prague - Enjoy but avoid...
Take it easy - Prague is definitely not ´Wild West´at all, but there are everywhere some specialists trying to ´earn´ some quick money. Follow these rules and you will spend some unforgettable time. Ignore them and it might be the same (or even a better) result. It is your choice. Enjoy and have a nice tiem in Prague
Money change
Don´t change your money on the street! You might get another currency instead of Czech crowns, it´s dangerous, it´s illegal and you might get less than in a bank. Be careful at exchange offices. The rate shown there might not be the right one due the additional commissions or exchange fees. Ask for a concrete sample. Use cash machines (ATMs) to get the best rate. Be careful in restaurants, bars, discotheques and especially gentleman´s clubs - ask for the exchange rates or use your credit card.
Taxi Drivers
Always agree a price before you get into a taxi. Normal fare is 250-400 CZK around the city.
Pickpockets
Very ´nice and friendly´ girls who approach you on the street are pickpockets, protected by their ˇminders´. Do not allow them to touch you! Never leave you bags or coats with wallets unattended.
Vandalism and noise
All public noise is forbidden by law in Prague! Vandalism, excessive singing, aggressive behaviour might be the stairway to jail. Czech police is very serious, because of this and they are not famous for their sense of humor and patience.
Some ´Specialists´act as ´Currency inspectors´
They will show you their ID cards and ask to inspect your money. We bet they would confiscate your bucks immediately and laugh a long time because of finding stupid tourists. Such ´inspectors´do not exist!!!
Drugs
Do not use drugs - it is absolutely forbidden!!!
